Beginning in the early 2000s, PRS Hospital established a paediatric surgery department for treating children from day one to eighteen years of age. Along with addressing paediatric urology issues, the department also attends to paediatric surgical issues including Cleft lip, Cleft palate, Tracheoesophageal fistula, Infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis, Hirschsprungs disease, Imperforte anus, Undescended testis, Hernias, and Abdominal wall deformities.

Some of the emergency paediatric conditions addressed here include intussusception, intestinal obstruction, and appendicitis. The department also handles trauma treatment. Occasionally, children with tumours like neuroblastoma, Wilm's tumour, teratomas, etc. are admitted and treated. Laparoscopic surgery is also done for children under the paediatric surgery wing of PRS Hospital with the best care of doctors and staff.
